A couple weeks ago I had a quick layover in Nashville, which I know hardly counts as a visit, but it left me craving one of the things Nashville is famous for. And no, it wasn’t country music. Fried chicken. Specifically Nashville hot chicken. I don’t even know what that means or how it was different from other spicy chicken but I knew I needed to try it. Not getting a chance during our hour long layover I hit the next best thing last week after I got home to Fort Collins, Music City Hot Chicken. And I have to say, I still don’t know what makes Nashville hot chicken, Nashville hot chicken, but I do know its freaking delicious. Their menu is easy and small so you’re not overwhelmed by choices. And their staff was incredibly helpful with suggestions. I had the chicken sandwich, Nashville hot, with sweet potato fries. If you like spicy I totally recommend this, it was a little hotter than I was anticipating but the flavor was amazing. Spicy not your thing? They have a variety of sauces ranging from mild to what I imagine will melt your face off. I’m looking forward to going back, this place definitely makes the list of go-to places in town where I know I can get delicious food!
